About Us ChickenFat Klezmer Orchestra got their start in 2008 when several klezmer-loving musicians met at the Old Town School of Folk Music and decided to start a band. Over the years we’ve expanded our repertoire to include Sephardic and Israeli folk songs as well as music from Yiddish theater. Some of our notable performances include appearances at the Greater Chicago Jewish Festival, the Edgewater Arts Festival, the Chicago Folk & Roots Festival, and more.
