January 22, 2012 brian | 1 Comment The Old Town School of Folk Music, one of my favorite Chicago institutions, is celebrating it’s 55th birthday! This coincides with the opening of their brand-new building across the street from the existing Lincoln Square location. As part of the celebration, they are having 55 days of events for the public. Check out the whole 55 Days schedule here. Many of the events are free. We get to help wish the Old Town School a happy birthday by playing a short set there on Day 54, March 2nd, 6pm 10:20pm. There will also be sample classes, dancing, and open jam sessions. It should be a fun night.
